At Winchester we have a number of well-established student exchange programmes that offer you the chance to study abroad for a period of your degree. It is a valuable experience that can enhance your employability.
United States Exchange
We have strong links with four American universities and students from a range of disciplines go over to one of these US partners to continue their chosen disciplines and undertake fully accredited studies for a maximum of one semester.
Japan
Winchester runs a Japanese Exchange programme with Beppu University. The scheme is available to Single and Combined Honours English students who wish to take modules leading to a Beppu University Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) as part of their English degree.
Erasmus Exchange
The University of Winchester has Erasmus University Charter status. This entitles us to set up student exchanges with other universities in the European Union. The cost of the exchange programme is assisted by the European Union, with each student being given a living allowance for their time abroad. This opportunity is available on a range of study programmes.
