Teacher Development

The Department offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes leading to the award of Qualified Teacher Status. It is commited to providing students with high quality training in Education, Professional Studies and Subject Studies.

School Placements extend the learning undertaken in the University. Schools are partners in the process, making valuable contributions to student development and professional preparation.

Teaching Agency Skills Tests

From September 2013 all entrants to Initial Teacher Training are required to have passed the TA Skills Tests prior to starting the course. Further details can be found here.
