Application process what to do next
Once you have sent us your application we will process it as soon as possible. We will contact you if we require further/additional information, but you should try to send us everything we will need. Until we have a complete application form we will be unable to send you an offer for a place at the University.
Your application will be passed on to the appropriate admissions tutor for consideration and decision, based on the entry requirements set by the University. You will then be sent one of the following letters:
- An unconditional offer – you have met the University’s academic, language and all/any other requirements for entry
- A conditional offer – you are required to submit additional information; this could include evidence that you have completed your current qualifications, achieved an appropriate level of English (such as the IELTS/TOEFL scores that we ask for) or additional supporting documents such as references and a personal statement
- A rejection letter – you have not met the University’s academic criteria for entry, or the University does not think you will meet the entry requirements
Offer letters will contain the title of the programme being offered, course fees and start date. Any conditions attached to the offer will be clearly detailed in the letter. Letters will be sent to the correspondence address you have given us on your application form and this may be the office of an agent you have used to assist you in applying to the University.
Paying your deposit
If you wish to accept our offer you will be required to write to us confirming your acceptance, and pay a deposit. Information on how to pay can be found on our Students and Money pages.
Applying for accommodation
The application form is available from Student Housing Services and should be completed and returned (once we have received your tuition fee deposit) to the university by email, fax or post.
Applying for a visa
All non-EU/EEA nationals need a visa (entry clearance) to come to study in the UK. It is essential to check the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s (FCO) website for new information on entry clearance and visas before you travel to the UK on www.ukvisas.gov.uk
It is also advisable to use the UKCISA website for more information on applying for a visa. Go to: www.ukcisa.org.uk
You should keep us informed about your visa application and once you have received your visa please let us know. If you do experience problems in securing your visa you should also let us know.
