Eligible students can receive individual study support which will provide strategies on how to learn more efficiently and reach their full academic potential.

The University has guidelines for supporting students with dyslexia and other additional learning needs: Guidelines for supporting students and a booklet on Information for Academic Staff including guidelines for assessing written work.
The University of Winchester has a team of in-house Dyslexia Tutors.The tutor's role is to offer support to individual students including the following:
- One-to-one support focussed on supporting the student's relationship with the course
- Regular 'tutorial' type meetings focusing on developing student's academic and personal skills
- Learning support- help with planning and prioritising, discussing particular difficulties, reading, writing, understanding feedback and improving skills.
- Please be aware that dyslexia tutors do not provide a proof reading service. They will however teach you the skills rquired to be able to proof read your own work.
This support is provided in the context of understanding the student's individual learning difference and situation. Tutors support the process of academic achievement.
