What's it all about?
VocalZone offers two, hour-long weekly workshops and is open to all singers who wish to develop their vocal skills and performance confidence. Attendees are encouraged to join Foundation Music Ensembles to further develop and apply the skills received through VocalZone. The workshops cover any repertoire and any level of singing experience from absolute beginner to diploma level.
VocalZone also offers support to those who lack confidence performing in front of others, and guidance and help for anyone who has not yet found their singing voice, or who struggles to sing in tune. This aspect of the workshops may be of particular help to those who are preparing to work in primary school settings, where singing and speaking are an important part of daily life in the primary classroom. Members of the many vocal ensembles and vocal course students are welcome to prepare their solo parts for concerts or examinations.
VocalZone workshops are held every Wednesday during term time. They mostly take place in Performing Arts Studio 3. There are two sessions each afternoon. You are welcome to go to either session either as a one off or on a regular basis.
Please feel free to just turn up at any given session or sign up in advance in the St Edburga music corridoor. Please take with you a piece of music you would like to work on or just go along to get advice.
