If you decide to take part in the American Exchange you can study at any of the following institutions:

Who can apply?
All Winchester programmes can apply, excluding Single Honours Journalism and Single or Combined Law and Social Work.
However, students taking the following programmes will receive priority allocation to the corresponding University in the chart below:

What will it cost?
Estimated additional costs of £3,500 (including airfare, visa, accommodation and other expenses at the host University).
All students with a household income of less that £42,000 will receive an award of £300 to assist with expenses in America.
If you're household income in less than £25,000 bursaries of currently £500 are available for eligible Home and EU fee paying students and you may also be eligible to apply for a SFE travel grant.
When can I go?
Normally in Semester 1 of Year 2.
Students studying Archaeology/Archaeological Practise, Sports and Education are eligible to study abroad during Semester 2 only.
Choreography and Dance students are eligible to study abroad during either Semester.
Where will I stay?
When studying abroad you will rent a room in a residence hall at your American University.
You do have the option to be accommodated within University Halls in Winchester. It is not a requirement but if you wish to, prior to studying abroad you may apply for accommodation in our halls and our Housing office will be likely to accommodate you.
