Open Day Programme
Our Open Days are packed full of talks and activities which will give you the chance to explore the Winchester experience. You will also be able to tour our learning and teaching facilities and view our accommodation with a current student as well as speak to staff about important matters such as student finance and support services.
Throughout the day you will be able to attend sessions specific to the course you have applied for to give you a real flavour for what it would be like to study at Winchester. You can also meet lecturers who will answer any questions you may have.
The programme is currently being developed and will be available here as soon as possible. This will be given to you when you sign-in on the day but you may want to look at it in advance to help you plan your day.

Arrival and Registration
When you made your booking you will have been asked if you wanted to attend a Welcome Talk.
For those attending a Welcome Talk
If you booked a Welcome Talk, the time will be confirmed in your confirmation email. Welcome Talks are optional but encouraged for first-time visitors as they provide a good introduction to the University. We recommend arriving approximately 15 minutes before your Welcome Talk is due to begin to allow you to complete registration, pick up information about the day and enjoy some refreshments. Registration and Welcome Talks take place in The Stripe building on our King Alfred campus. The Stripe building is marked as Number 10 on the accessible campus map below.
Those not attending a Welcome Talk
If you have visited the university before and decide you do not want to attend another Welcome Talk, you are welcome to arrive any time from 10am onwards. We ask that you come to The Stripe building on the King Alfred campus to register, where you will be given all the information you need to start the day. The Stripe building is marked as Number 10 on the accessible campus map below.
Maps and directions
The maps and directions below have been specifically designed for our Open Day visitors and contain all the information you need on how to find the University by car or public transport, information on our car parks and a campus map which details the buildings used during Open Days. We would strongly advise printing the relevant maps for your journey to help you find your way.
In order to make the most out of the day, please ensure you read the information below thoroughly.
Parking on campus is very limited and requesting parking when booking does not guarantee you will be allocated a space. If you have been allocated a space a permit will be posted to you the week before the event which includes information on the car park that you have been allocated. You will need to bring it with you to display in your vehicle. The maps above will help you to find the campus and your allocated car park.
If you are attending a Welcome Talk, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your Welcome Talk is due to begin to allow you time to complete registration, pick up information about the day and enjoy some refreshments.
The Open Day will finish at 3pm.
