An exhibition of wall mounted sculptures inspired by the underlying structural principles inherent in natural form. Stephen Towns is a sculptor whose working methodology is shaped by biological sciences and simple mathematical modelling. He uses a strategic approach in which the decision making is shaped by the application of simple rules. This enables him to generate biomorphic forms that are not imitative of any single natural form, but are evocative of diverse natural forms. For the sculptures in this exhibition, colour and surface are integral to the identity of the object, accompanied by related drawings.
