The University's Catering Department aims to provide a healthy sustainable lifestyle, whilst maintaining customer service and value for money. It caters for students, staff and for the general public as part of its conferencing services.
Catering on campus
On offer is a range of hot and cold food made using fresh ingredients and local suppliers. Food and beverages are prepared and served by well trained, customer focused staff and we provide a quality service and a great environment.
The Catering Department is committed to Fairtrade, the use of free range meat and eggs and to minimising its impact on the environment.

Catering outlets
Learning Cafe, University Centre
The Learning Cafe provides an environment for students to relax or study. A selection of grab and go hot and cold food and drink is available. All coffee beans are Fairtrade, organic and Rain Forest Alliance Certified.
The Learning Cafe is installed with wireless Internet technology for laptop use or alternatively there are networked desktop PCs for use.
Food Hall, University Centre
The Food Hall provides a range of meals throughout the day, a wokery bar, deli bar and fresh salad bar. There is a wide selection of dishes to choose from including a daily special utilising local ingredients.
Games Room, University Centre
The Games Room, located in the Terrace Bar, has a food outlet offering a range of freshly cooked meals including pasta dishes, grilled steak, locally produced chargrilled burgers, chicken melts and a variety of snacks and salads.
Cafe Life, West Downs Centre
Cafe Life is similar to the Learning Cafe providing a selction of grab and go hot and cold food and drinks. All coffee beans are Fairtrade, organic and Rain Forest Alliance Certified, and we also stock a variety of Fairtrade and organic cakes and snacks.
Conferencing
The Catering Department offer a wide range of menus for conferencing customers to choose from. The ingredients are sourced from local and regional suppliers. The menus are continually developed to ensure we offer high quality meals and refreshments for customers.
