People And Dogs Walking - Action for Gambia
A guided walk from Winchester to Shawford and back across Compton Down
Sunday 27 March - meet at 10am at Bar End (St Catherine's) Park & Ride
Participation fee £5 (adult) and £2 (child). Suggested donation between £1 and £3 per dog.
There is no minimum length to be walked. You can leave the walk at any point so all dogs and people of all shapes, sizes and levels of fitness can participate. Please bring your own refreshments and water.
A certificate of participation will be awarded to each dog a few days after the event, with special certificates for:
- the dog who made the most valiant effort
- the best behaved dog
- the friendliest dog
- the most energetic dog
- the most charming dog
- the most well-supported dog, i.e. the dog who raises most money from supporters
Please note that you do not have to have a dog to participate in the walk but can nominate any dog you are supporting in advance of the event if you wish.
To sign up, email terri.sandison@winchester.ac.uk putting PADWAG in the subject line and giving:
- your name and those of any humans you are bringing with you
- the name and breed of your dog if you are bringing one
- if you wish to have a photograph of your dog on its certificate of participation, please attach an image to your email
