Winchester Sports Stadium
The Winchester Sports Stadium which is managed by the University of Winchester provides great sports facilities to members of the public as well as its students.
Community engagement is a top priority for the stadium with the provision of a number of sessions and events for the local area. Throughout the summer months athletics sessions take place on the track for young people to experience athletics. Free weekly football sessions with qualified coaches are also provided on the all-weather pitch for the local young people in partnership with Winchester City Council.
Schools and colleges also benefit from the fantastic facilities with a number of schools using the athletics track for inter school competitions and after school activities. The all-weather pitch is also used during the day by schools and colleges for hockey.
In conjunction with the local youth service and emergency services a number of football matches have also been set up throughout the year for the local young people to participate in sport and engage with these community bodies.
