One World Family Day

The first One World Family Day event was held on 10 March 2012 to celebrate our links with local minority ethnic communities.

Over 140 people came along to join in an amazing range of exciting workshops run by local community groups and some of the University's overseas students. There was lots of great entertainment and music for everyone to enjoy.

Adults and children alike watched, and tried out, lots of different activities as well as sampling food from around the world, provided by the local community groups.

Some also took the opportunity to become media stars and recorded their thoughts about the event in the One World Diary Room!

The event was brought to a close with an impressive demonstration of large calligraphy performed by Japanese students from the university.
