Biography

Elaine is currently responsible for the training of primary and secondary RE teachers in the county. She has been involved in the writing of the 6 Hampshire Religious Education syllabi since 1978 and is a co-author of:

• ‘Primary Religious Education: A New Approach’ [Routledge forthcoming]
• co-editor with Lisa Isherwood of ‘Through Us With Us In Us: The Challenge of Relational Theologies in the 21st century’ [SCM: March 2010]

She was an OFSTED inspector for 7 years, a religious education advisory teacher for ten years and has spent thirty plus years in education.

Cosmic Walk

As education consultant to the Cosmic walk her expertise will be used to create materials and activities for pupils and students of all ages which will engage them with the philosophy behind the walk and encourage them into a creative engagement with the ground on which they stand. The integration of current educational initiatives in this process will ensure the validity of the Cosmic Walk. as an educational experience.
