Stonewall

The University delights in diversity and is committed to creating a safe and supportive working environment for all its staff and students.

The University of Winchester became a Stonewall Diversity Champion in October 2010.

By signing to join the programme the University became part of a good practice forum in which employers can work with Stonewall and with each other on sexual orientation issues. Becoming a Champion also highlights the University's commitment to working to support lesbian, gay and bisexual staff.

Since its start in 2005, the Stonewall Diversity Champion programme has grown from 100 to 600 members. Being a member presents a unique opportunity for the University to engage with other employers on sexual orientation issues.
