Department Facilities
The Law department has a Moot room and a Law Library.
Mooting
A moot is a mock court hearing of legal arguments presented by mooters who
represent different sides to a fictitious case.It has been used for centuries as a means of learning the art of argument and provides an excellent training in research. There are many mooting competitions in the UK and throughout the world where students can compete against each other in addition to taking part in mooting at their own universities. Mooting at Winchester is also fully part of the learning and teaching experience.
