Biography

Marion is a practising solicitor with over fifteen years post-qualification experience. Following time in private practice, she has worked for over ten years as an in-house lawyer for international companies (such as Apple and McAfee) and for Central Government, including the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall.

Expertise

Marion Oswald joined the Faculty in September 2009 as a Senior Lecturer in Law.  Since that time, Marion has devised the new Company Law module and written and presented on the subject of teaching company law, as well as teaching on the Public Law module. She has also developed a project enabling law students to gain experience in providing business related legal advice.

Research Interests

Marion has a particular interest in data protection, freedom of information and information technology matters.  She has recently published and spoken on the subject of the interaction between freedom of information, data protection and copyright.
