We prefer to do this, rather than to recommend reading lists in advance as law publishers bring out new editions of books very frequently and we like to talk to you about the options available and make sure you have the very best and most up-to-date editions. Also, we like to ensure that you don't waste your hard-earned money on out of date material.
However, we do appreciate that some of you like to read in advance. If this is you then below are a few options for you. Please bear in mind that this is not essential " please don't rush out and but lots of expensive books just yet.
- Learning the Law by Glanville L. Williams and A.T.H. Smith
- Discovering the Law by Sean Butler
- Letters to a Law Student: A Guide to Studying Law at University by Nicholas J McBride
- How to Study Law by Anthony Bradney, Fiona Cownie and others
All of these are available from a variety of online retailers " though please do not feel you have to buy them. If you do want to read them they will be in your local library and if they are not they will get hold of a copy for you.
