Jon is a visiting lecturer at Winchester University in their journalism department. I am also head of Byfield's Insight Reports - the research part of the legal communications specialists the Byfield Consultancy (http://www.byfieldconsultancy.com).
Jon writes about most things but specialise in law and justice.Jon is a freelance journalist - and run www.thejusticegap.com. His writing has appeared regularly in The Times, Observer, Guardian, FT, Independent and Independent on Sunday.
Jon has won the Bar Council's legal reporter of the year 2015 (and previously in 2005). The Justice Gap won the Halsbury Legal Journalism award 2013.
Jon have written a number of books including The First Miscarriage of Justice: The unreported and amazing case of Tony Stock (Waterside Press, 2014) The Justice Gap: Whatever happened to legal aid? (Legal Action Group, 2009) and People Power: how to run a campaign and make a difference in your community (Daily Telegraph and LawPack, 2008).
