Biography
Elwyn worked as a hybrid keeping a foot in industry whilst also lecturing part-time from 1985. Initially this was in Further Education on BTEC, HND/HNC and Professional courses such as the Institute of Exports, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and Institute of Credit Managers. Having completed his MA in Marketing in 1998 while working as a business consultant he moved into Higher Education lecturing on a part-time basis. From this he joined what is now the University of Winchester in 2004 as a member of the team delivering the professional qualifications of the Chartered Institute of Marketing through evening study classes. This led to an expanded contract over time within the Business and Sports departments, before joining Sport on a full-time basis from July 2009.
Elwyn is now the programme leader for the BA (Hons) Sports Management programme.
Expertise
Elwyn was very active in desiging modules for the first MSc MBA qualifications to be offered in the Faculty of Business, Law and Sport.
Publications
He has been very active with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, both running the programme at Winchester and also being involved in an overhaul of the curriculum. From this he was asked to co-author to their official course-book for Project Management in Marketing.
