Carole Parkes is Professor of Management in the Dept of Global Issues and Responsible Management at Winchester Business School and has both a business and academic background. She was previously Director of Social Responsibility & Sustainability at Aston University, where she developed and led ethics, responsibility and sustainability across all schools in the University that includes the Aston MBA programme and the development of an MSc in Social Responsibility & Sustainability.
Carole has been an early and active leader in the UN-backed PRME (Principles of Responsible Management Education), is Chair of the UK & Ireland PRME Regional Chapter, an editor of publications for the Fighting Poverty as a Challenge for Management Education PRME Working Group and Chair of the UK Sustainability Literacy Test Group.
Carole regularly speaks, publishes and participates in academic and practitioner events, locally and globally including all previous PRME and Global Compact events. In 2012/13, she was invited to be the Christopher Chair in Business Ethics at Dominican University in Chicago and in 2015 invited to be a ‘Researcher in Residence’ at the PRME Secretariat/Global Compact in New York. Carole also works with a range of business and community groups.
