Formerly the Head of Division of Accounting at the University of Glamorgan, Professor Pru Marriott BA, PhD, FCCA, FHEA was previously the University of Winchester's Director of Postgraduate Research Students. She was appointed Faculty Dean and Director of the Winchester Business School in July 2017.
Pru has over 24 years’ experience of teaching a range of financial and management accounting modules and managing programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and professional levels.
Pru is an Associate Editor for Accounting Education: an international journal
and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Accounting Education
and regularly review papers for the British Accounting Review
and the International Journal of Management Education
. She has been a Visiting Research Fellow at the Universities of Western Sydney and Victoria (Australia) and in September 2013 presented a plenary address at RMIT’s Accounting Educators Conference (Melbourne, Australia) as an invited academic.
Pru is a long-standing member of the Executive Committee of the British Accounting and Finance Association’s Accounting Education Special Interest Group and currently holding the position of Secretary. Pru has been an external examiner at 8 institutions and panel member for 7 external validations and have had a longstanding advisory role with the Institute of Financial Services, assisting them to develop a portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Pru continues to serve on the Institute’s Academic Quality and Development Committee.
