Biography
Martyn Jones BA (Hons), MSc, FCCA, CPFA, CELTA, is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting, and is both a qualified Certified Accountant and a qualified Public Finance accountant. He joined the Winchester Business School in October 2011.
After graduating from the University of Warwick in 1983, Martyn worked as a graduate trainee accountant, a management accountant and as an external auditor. Martyn then joined Bournemouth University where he worked as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting from 1990 to 2002. He was also a Senior Lecturer in Accounting with the Business School at the University of Hertfordshire from 2007 to 2011, including two visiting semesters teaching at Fuzhou University in China on the combined University of Hertfordshire and Fuzhou University BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Martyn also worked within the private sector as a freelance accounting tutor from 2002 to 2007.
Expertise
Martyn has taught management accounting, auditing, international accounting and corporate governance on a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and he has also regularly supervised undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.

Martyn has active research interests in developments in strategic management accounting and accounting education, and he has regularly attended and participated in academic conferences for the past 20 years.
Funding Awards and Professional Membership
Martyn is British Accounting and Finance Association (BAHA) member, and he was previously the ACCA Paper F8 (Audit & Assurance) Assessor from 2006 to 2010, and he regularly marked examination scripts for the ACCA from 1995 to 2010.
