Biography

Stella is Head of Employer Engagement at the University of Winchester and Programme Leader for the Foundation Degree in Management Programme based within the Winchester Business School of the University of Winchester. 
Stella has a wide experience of partnership working with public and private sector employers to ensure that programme development meets the needs of employers and supports the employability of students.
She is experienced in developing, teaching and managing courses and programmes relating to business management including the FdA Management with specialist pathways programme.  Stella also led the design and development of the Logica Sponsored Degree Programme and works alongside the Logica team to ensure the programme continues to meet their needs
As Chairman of both the Isle of Wight Branch of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and Chairman of the Institute’s Regional Cluster Group South; Stella contributes to the national agendas of this professional body.  .

Expertise

Stella’s specialist areas are Work Based Learning, CPD and Management and the Business Environment; and she has over 25 years experience of teaching and managing undergraduate programmes.

Research Interests

Stella is interested in work related and work based learning and her current project is aimed at enhancing graduate impact.  She is also co-researching  a project to improve the process of selecting student work placement opportunities, ensuring that the experience develops employability skills.
