How will the University Support Me?
From looking for a student placement to monitoring your progress, the university will be there to support you throughout the whole process.
Our Work Placement Officer has many years of experience in working with employers and students and offer a professional placement service.
The university will help you with recruitment support, as well as continued advice and guidance
A named tutor is on hand to provide assistance to you and your employer during the placement.

How long does a placement last ?
Placements are generally for a minimum period of 34 weeks but can be for as long as 48 weeks starting between July and September.
Will I get paid?
Placement students are treated as full-time employees and are subject to a company’s standard employment policies and procedures
Students are generally paid a wage by the employer, and the salary will be negotiated between you and the company, but as a guideline the salary is between £12,000 and £22,000
