Biography
Samantha completed her first degree in History at Royal Holloway, and returned ten years later after a career as an FX dealer for HSBC to complete a masters in Medieval Studies. Currently affiliated to the Institute of Historical Research working on her PhD, entitled 'Henry VII and London'.
Expertise
Late medieval history, especially the long fifteenth century, is a particular area of interest. Other interests range from the pre-reformation church in England, early Tudor politics and administration, the Burgundian and French courts of the fifteenth century and medieval queenship.
Research Interests
Natually my reseach is currently focused on Henry VII and his relationship with London, particularly the political interplay between the entities of Crown, Court and City.
