The Southern History Society publishes the annual journal Southern History, covering the historic counties of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Gloucester, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Oxford, Buckingham, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex and Kent
The latest issue of Southern History is out now and contains the proceedings of the conference Captain Swing Reconsidered: 40 years of Rural History from Below, held in March 2009 at the University of Reading.
