Bridget has three key areas of expertise. These are: research methods in education, Early Years education and primary design and technology education.

Research Interests

Bridget'smain research interestsinclude the ways in which dialogue takes place in educational settings - 'sustained shared thinking' as an aspect of early years learning and development. Children's drawings as a vehicle for narrative and particularly how this narrative function works in design education. How young teachers develop as researchers, and how that learning influences their professional thinking and identity.
