Research Interests
I am currently using eye tracking to investigate a number of factors influencing eyewitness memory and face identification performance. Of primary interest are the effects of alcohol on visual attention, eyewitness recall and recognition. In addition to this applied work I maintain a theoretical research interest in human memory, particularly regarding the disputed distinction between short- and long-term memory, serial position effects, modality effects, and executive functioning. I have also published papers on the learning and teaching of psychology and research methods.
