Marc is currently Senior Lecturer in Teacher Development with a specific brief to build and develop the university’s work with teaching schools, alliances, local authorities and other school networks.
His main area of interest is school and system leadership, management, school support and improvement. He has additional expertise in primary practice, teaching and learning and the school curriculum and school based and Assessment Only routes to QTS.
Marc was previously head of Primary School Effectiveness for Hertfordshire County Council and a senior adviser and school improvement partner. Between 1983 and 2004 he was a successful primary school teacher and head teacher and has experience in leading schools from failing positions to success. Between 2002 and 2004 he was a National Strategy Consultant Leader, supporting local schools in challenging circumstances. In 2005, he was Ofsted trained and in 2006 he was accredited as a National School Improvement Partner (SIP).
