Research Interests

Sandy's main research interests are in the development of visual literacy (still and moving image; film and animation) together with its impact on children's reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Also, the creation of multimedia texts within the primary curriculum to improve children's literacy skills and the place and role of popular culture within the primary curriculum.
