Networking and Inspiration

Wired Wessex hosts free monthly business networking events for SMEs. As well as a chance to meet like-minded people and share information, these events offer thought-provoking talks by guest speakers - and the first drink is always free.
Café Culture is a networking opportunity for local creative and enterprising individuals, hosting monthly events featuring a guest speaker.
E-network is designed to support enterprising students at the University by inviting a monthly guest speaker to present how they successfully started a business.
The high-profile Enterprise Lecture Series offers staff, students and the wider community the chance to come and listen to well-known individuals who have made a real difference.

The Enterprise Boot Camp brings together students from regional universities to solve real business challenges set by business experts.
Social enterprise and volunteering allow students to develop new and transferable skills through new experiences whilst making a difference to others.
External events and competitions - we will be happy to support students in their application process for these.
The Enterprise Society offers a range of exciting talks and workshops to broaden students' skills and experience.
For the past six years, the Business Start Up scheme has provided funding and mentoring for fledgling staff and student companies and helped them off to a flying start.
