The University offers a wide range of IT services on Campus from the provision of PCs to supplying loan equipment to support your studies.

Winchester hosts over 600 networked PCs located in the Library, the Kenneth Kettle open access building, the Learning Café situated in the University Centre and at the Winchester Business School at the West Downs Campus. We also have a number of computer suites for teaching.  In addition, students have access to Apple computers in the Multi Media Centre for specialist applications.

All Campus accommodation has Internet access at no extra cost, and wireless is available from a wide selection of areas providing students with flexible study options.

Our Intranet pages hold a good selection of information and students have access to training material to support their studies.  Some free training courses are offered on standard Microsoft applications.

Additional resources include a comprehensive photocopying and binding/laminating service and access to buy consumables from the Multi Media Centre

Learning Café

The Learning Café, situated in the University Centre on the main Campus, offers:
• 24-hour a day access
• Café counter selling excellent coffee and snacks
• 50 PCs
• Wireless access
• Comfy seating for group work or just relaxing with friends

Multi Media Centre

The Centre hosts a recently refurbished, purpose-built TV studio, Newsroom with Apple computers, Radio and Audio studios (upgraded in Summer 2011) and a new Apple training suite coming online for Semester 1 2011.

The Centre is open 24-hours a day and students are encouraged to use the facilities for their own projects as well as coursework.

Multi Media Loan Counter

Based within the Multi Media Centre, students can access a free loan service offering a wide range of equipment that includes media players, camera, laptops and much more.

Eduroam service
