Burma Road Student Village hosts the University Gym. The equipment supplied by Life Fitness provides an excellent work out experience. The top floor hosts a large cardio area providing bikes, running machines, cross trainers, rowing machines and more. There is also a stretching zone to get you ready for your workout and fixed resistance machines to improve your strength. Downstairs hosts changing spaces along with functional and weight training space.

*All gym passes require a 3 month initial sign up period, after which point you can pay monthly
*Off Peak hours (Monday to Friday 07:00 to 13:00 and 09:00 to 13:00 at weekends)

Q: Is it just students that can use the University gym?
A: Anyone can use the gym including members of the public.
Q: How can I pay for the gym?
A: You can pay for the gym by cash/ cheque or card. University Staff can also have a deduction from salary if they wish.
Q: How old do I have to be to join the gym?
A: The minimum age requirement to use the gym is 16 years of age. If under 18, parental consent is required.
Q: How long does it take it join up
A: All you need to come up to the gym and fill out the gym pass form, health questionnaire and then bring a method of payment. After we ask everyone to take part in a quick induction with one of our staff members, please let them know if you would like further information on using the facilities and they can give you a more thorough induction.
