Once you have applied and we have made you an offer there are a number of things to do in order to be ready to start your programme. The next steps are listed below with a link to our frequently asked questions page at the bottom with more information about each step:
1. Send us all required documents
You must make sure that you have sent us (to firstname.lastname@example.org) the following documents:
- Your previous/ academic qualifications including transcripts
- Evidence of your English language ability (if applicable) for example, and IELTS certificate
- A copy of your passport and any previous UK visa stamps (if applicable)
- A copy of your reference(s)
We understand that you may still be waiting to take an English language test or waiting to receive your final exam certificate. Please send us these documents when they are available and/or let us know when we can expect to receive them.
2. Accepting your offer
You need to accept our offer. You can do this via your UCAS or UKPASS account online if you applied this way. If not then you can simply email us to tell us at email@example.com
3. Apply for accommodation
Once you have accepted our offer you can apply for accommodation. We strongly suggest you apply as soon as possible as this will give you the best opportunity to secure a room of your choice. You can find out more about our housing options and applying by clicking here
4. Pay your deposit
All international students must pay a Tuition Fee deposit of £2000 to the University before arrival to enrol on their course. A Fee Deposit Information Sheet will be sent to students in their offer pack detailing the amount of the deposit. You can pay your deposit by clicking here.
5. Send us a CAS request form
If you require a visa then the next step is to send us a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) request form and this can be downloaded by clicking here , must be completed in full and then emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
6. Sending you your CAS
We should then be able to issue your CAS which will allow you to apply for your visa (if you require one).
7. Applying for your visa (if appropriate)
You then need to apply for your visa to study at the University of Winchester. Before you do this please look at our visa Information page by clicking here
8. Book an airport pickup
Once you have secured your visa you can start to make your travel arrangements to arrive at the University in time for the start of your programme. We offer a free airport pick-up service from London Heathrow airport (as well as other airports close by if there is sufficient demand) on selected days before the start of each programme.
The airport booking form will appear here closer to the start of term.
