My name is Rosavid and I am from Cambodia. I am a combined Psychology and Business Management student at the University of Winchester. I really enjoy being a student at the University of Winchester because the campus has such a refreshing vibe, the people are very polite and friendly and plus, Winchester is such a beautiful town. Prior to being a student at the University of Winchester, I received my high school diploma from Northbridge International School Cambodia. I lived in Cambodia all my life before coming to the UK, so I understand the mixture of anxiety and excitement about leaving home for the first time.
For other Cambodian students who are interested in applying to study in Winchester, I think it would be useful to know that the work is hard but if you put in enough effort and time into it, you will be fine. Also, it is very easy to make friends because you'll meet people who share your accommodation, your course mates, and people from many societies in which you can join. I think joining societies makes it not as bad living away from home, because you can meet people with the same interests as you, whether it is sports, music, films, or even an International Students society where you can meet people from similar backgrounds and situations as you.
