My name is Yee Shen and I am from the south part of Malaysia, Johor, which is only a 2 hour drive to Singapore.
Studying overseas has always been a dream, and I do believe if you put your effort in to it, it will became a reality, and this is how the university shapes my perspective.
Like majority of international students that fly all the way from their home, I experienced culture shock and difficulties to cope with lectures and seminars. These are normal because being in a totally different environment, it really takes time to get yourself on the track.
However, I am lucky and grateful that I choose to came here. The supports provided by the university helped me go through difficult times. I start to join the International Society, and managed to work together as a part of the committee team as Vice President, and, this broadens my view and knowledge even further.
As a Journalism student in this university, I get the opportunity to get my hands on all the Journalism work that I've never dream of, getting to interview different people and get them talk on camera, it is truly a wonderful experience, and I am proud to say I am from University of Winchester, doing my Journalism degree.
This university gives me a whole lot of new memories and one of it is to have numerous of friends from various parts of England, and around the world. It is truly a wonderful time here in University of Winchester, and I definitely enjoying to the maximum.
