Hi, I am a second year Events Management student, and I would like to share my experience as an international student in the University of Winchester with you. I am a direct-entrant into the second year, and I was really nervous about that as I would be a new student in a class full of people who have already had a year to know each other. The first week was tough, but I've then learnt that the way to get to meet people was to be as social as possible and initiate conversations with them. Once they get to know you better, they'll then be more open with you.
Living in West Downs was amazing as everyone there is so friendly and I'm lucky to be in such a sociable flat. Everyone is very open and friendly, and they genuinely want to get to know you as an international student so don't be afraid and shy away! It is also great that you have all your classes in the Business building as it is literally a 2 minute walk from where I live.
Winchester is a wonderful place to study, being a conveniently small and safe city and it provides a cosy and comfortable atmosphere to be able to relax and study at your own pace. It is a great choice to be able to develop my skills socially and academic-wise.
