The origins of the University date back to 1840 so our campus has many beautiful and traditional buildings. In addition we have many very modern buildings and teaching facilities, some of which have won recent awards for architecture, and the University is constantly updating and investing in our campus.
The University is a cultural center and is located just 10 minutes' walk from the city center. We have two parts to the campus:-, the King Alfred Campus and the West Downs Campus which are located 5 minutes' walk from each other either side of the Hampshire Royal County Hospital.
We have established excellent connections with many leading local, national and international employers for part time, placement and graduate job opportunities which our students can take advantage whilst they are with us and once they have graduated.
Our policy of strong academic support, small-group culture, and excellent teaching within one of the UK's highest-ranked, most beautiful cities makes us a great choice for International students. The University welcomes students onto a range of programmes at levels from Foundation through Undergraduate (Bachelors) and Postgraduate (Masters) to Research (PHD). The international students at the University of Winchester consistently tell us how much they enjoy studying with us and that the teaching style at Winchester allows them to realise their full potential and move on to successful careers.
