Book Club and Film Club
The library runs an online book club and an online film club.
These clubs are open to all students, academic staff and support staff. They are also open to alumni, ex-staff and new students awaiting enrolment. The clubs exist entirely online - perfect if you're part-time, a distance learner or a nocturnal studier.
Both clubs have a monthly title and discussion and try to vary subject matter, period, nationality and genre. The clubs also have a general discussion area where you can post reviews of your favourite books, favourite films, plays, poems and new releases.
All of the books discussed are available to borrow from our collection and many of the films are from our rental DVDs on the top floor of the library. These rental films can be borrowed for £1 a night.
There's no obligation to join in every month so why not log in for a chat between assignments and find yourself some inspiration for relaxation.
