This follows on from our programme celebrating excellent research practice in a range of specialisms. We would now like to draw your attention to the links between your research and teaching practice while also giving the Faculty a space to respond to the question ‘what is a lecture?’ - one of our institutional conversations being conducted this year. It will offer an opportunity for participants to consider their own lecturing style and contribute aspects of their lecturing practice, which have been effective in supporting student learning. This event will also examine how research informed teaching, as a model, can directly and positively affect the taught experience. Colleagues will be able to get to grips with the, sometimes counter intuitive, idea of teaching led research whilst reflecting their own professional identity as researcher and lecturer and how these interact in the teaching space.
