Archaeology graduate Ben Benton teamed up with illustrator Tom Searles to launch Mongrelcroc, a clothing company that creates custom-designed apparel for university clubs and societies and promotial gear for companies looking for a fresh logo or design.

University lecturer and dancer/performer Sacha Lee runs Sacha Lee Arts Management, an arts management service that targets small-scale performing arts companies and independent artists in the South-East region.
Pedlars and Petticoats
Student Terri Reid and her business partner Jane Glennie have launched this imaginatively named historical interpretation company, targeting both the education and 'reminiscence' sectors.
Tall Tales Media
Arts student Jack Campbell-Smith creates 'visually stunning and uplifting' promotional films for schools, companies, charities and individuals. Taken from photos, the films are animated using exciting 3D technology. The focus is on the beauty of photography and capturing special moments to create attractive as well as informative films.

Buzzy Bees Workshop
Early Years Professional Michelle Tejevo has created a mobile EYP workshop for children under 5, offering a range of activities which aim to 'put the buzz into Early Years'.

Dance lecturer Suna Imre-Roffey gives classes in Nia, a new holistic way to exercise and a fusion of the dance arts, the healing arts, martial arts and yoga.
Matt Bartram and Danny Allen run this digital agency that specialises in website design and digital marketing, as well as mobile application development.
Duncan Shears offers audiovisual services, using his expertise in photojournalism, documentary film-making and non-fictional narrative development.

Word Tamer
Word Tamer, run by award-winning children's author Judy Waite, is a unique custom-designed initiative to inspire and develop creative-writing skills in key-stage 2 children. Word Tamer will incorporate a novel, custom-written to fit the needs of schools, an interactive website and creative-writing workshops in Hampshire primary schools.
Winchester Sports lecturer John Batten runs a website that aims to bring jobseekers (associate lecturers, PT and temporary academic staff) in contact with employers (HE and FE institutions) for recruitment purposes.
Charlotte Sapey offers inclusive dance classes, aiming to expand into dance workshops for churches, and dance and disability training for schools.

Pure Dance Ltd
Formed by Laura Warriner and Laura Kelly, Pure Dance delivers tailormade classes and workshops to schools and colleges in Dorset and Hampshire. Pure Dance is a new idea in dance, aiming to encourage enjoyment and appreciation of dance as a form of fitness.
2005
TLC is run by graduate Joshua Spencer and was Winchester Business Excellence Awards Startup Award finalist for 2007 and 2008. The company consists of TLC Home and TLC Business; TLC Home provides lifestyle management and domestic support services to busy people, while TLC Business provides affordable business support services for small businesses to tap into as and when they need them.
Platform, Winchester Business Excellence Awards Startup Award winner for 2007, provides dance lessons for children and adults in Hampshire. Run by Sarah Hughes and Jenney Rooney, Platform not only organises its own classes in Winchester but is also involved in community initiatives, dance parties and school workshops.
Wet Picnic, run by Matt Feerick and Penny Patrick, describe themselves as 'a happy theatre company' that loves theatre in all its forms. Wet Picnic works with businesses, schools, theatres, festivals, like to cheer up parties and conferences, and can be seen at events all over the country. At the 2007 Winchester Business Excellence Awards, Wet Picnic was a Startup Award finalist and in 2008 they won the Business Excellence Through People Award.
