Knowledge Exchange and Impact
KE & Impact reflect the University’s relevance to the wider community. Our work has social and economic impact at local, regional, national and international levels
Research at Winchester is particularly strong in the arts, humanities, social sciences and education. Our Knowledge Exchange activity reflects this, with many links with the creative, heritage and tourism industries in the region and beyond. In the light of the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework (REF), this page highlights some of the many ways in which Winchester has attained impact.
Knowledge Exchange Newsletters
The RKE Centre regularly produces a Knowledge Exchange Newsletter for the wider community. The latest issue is available as a pdf file on the KE Newsletter page.
Enterprise Lectures
The University regularly welcomes prestigious visiting speakers who present talks in the Enterprise Lecture Series; these lectures are open to the public as well as members of staff. Recent speakers include such well-known names as Trevor Baylis, Terry Waite, Jonathan Porritt, David Aaronovitch, Kate Adie and Alan Titchmarsh (photo). For more information on these lectures, visit the Enterprise Lecture pages.

Research and Knowledge Exchange Symposium
Each year in February, the University organises a Symposium celebrating the research and knowledge exchange activity carried out by its academics and research students. Organised like a 'mini-conference', the Symposium offers parallel strands of talks based around various research themes, as well as poster presentations and a keynote address by an external speaker.
A warm welcome is extended to interested members of the public as well as staff and students. For more information, please contact the Director of Research and Knowledge Exchange, Professor Tony King.
