Tuition fee loans
UK and EU full time PGCE students do not have to pay fees upfront before starting their course or while they are studying as they are entitled to a Tuition Fee Loan. You can apply for a loan to cover all or part of your fees and only start to pay it back when you are earning at least £21,000.
For more information on how and when to apply for Tuition Fee Loans go to the gov.uk site
Maintenance Loans and Grants
UK full time PGCE students can also apply for loans and non-repayable grants to cover their living costs while they are studying.

- A loan of up to £4,375 will be available if you live with your parents.
- If your household income is equal to or under £42,611 you could be entitled to a grant of up to £3,354 to cover your living costs, which you would not have to pay back.
