Academic achievement award

In recognition of excellent entry qualifications, the University of Winchester will be offering Academic Achievement Awards to full time students starting in September 2012.

Each eligible full time student will receive £2,000 per year (subject to continued academic achievement each year), which they can choose to take as either cash or a fee waiver.

There are numerous combinations of qualifications that will make a student eligible for this award. For example:

  •  A, A, B (A-Level)
  • A*, A, C (A-Level)
  • A*, B, B (A-Level)
  • A*, A* at A-Level and an A at AS-Level.
  • Distinction, Distinction, Distinction. (BTEC)

How do I apply?

There is no separate application process for the Academic Achievement Award. To be eligible, students must put the University of Winchester as their Firm Choice on their UCAS form. Eligibility for this award will not depend on household income.

All student should initially apply for the full £8,500 tuition fee loan unless they wish to self-fund all or part of the year. Fee waivers will be applied later in the academic year.
