Biography

Since the age of seven I have competed in Gymnastics at a high level reaching county and regional level, due to an injury in gym I tried diving at Southampton Diving Academy.

Intially I competed at Intermediate level where I won National titles in 3m and platform boards. I then progressed to Elite Level where for thge last 5 years I have competed at National Competitions where again I recieved National titles in 3m, platform and synchro. This year I took part in Senior Nationals where I gained 10th place. I have been lucky enough to travel every year aboard with my club, I picked up 1st place in Czech Republic and 3rd place in Barcelona.

My ambition is to continue in diving and coaching at a high level.

Research Interests

I am also a coach at my club - Southampton Quays, I teach diving as well as coach my own group of children four times a week. I have also been given the opportunity to be the Assistant Coach for the Regional England Talent Development Diving Squad.

As well as being in my first year at the University of Winchester studying a BA Honours in Sports Coaching and Development, I'm also undertaking a NVQ in coaching.

Funding Awards and Professional Membership

I have been lucky enough to recieve the University of Winchester Excellence Award in Sports, I will use this scholarship to develop my diving and coaching.
