Winchester students: opportunities to study abroad

Where can I study?

Study Abroad

Studying abroad is an opportunity and challenge that will help your independence and self-reliance. Surveys consistently show that employers value time spend studying abroad and recognise it as a signal of an ambitious and enterprising student. In our increasingly globalised world being aware and accommodating to different cultures, different systems and different identities is increasingly a necessity and is certainly an advantage for a graduate.

Part of the challenge is to recognise that universities in other countries do things differently from Winchester. You will find that the style of classroom teaching, study methods, means of assessment and feedback are not always identical to our practice and it is important to be aware of this if you are interested in applying. Learning how other nations study differently is part of the challenge but it is also very much part of the benefit and you should be prepared for it.
