The national context

 Excellence in learning and teaching is rooted in:

• HEFCE’s quality assurance procedures
• Support for teaching enhancement and encouragement of innovation
• Delivered through a network of Higher Education Academy’s (HEA’s) Subject Centres
• CELTS
• Other L&T focussed centres in Universities across the country.

The LTDU in particular works closely with these other organisations, and uses, for example, HEFCE’s Professional Standards Framework as a baseline in its PGCLTHE.
