Programme Content

Business Management with Human Resource Management at Winchester is an optional pathway of the Business Management programme. Students choosing this pathway will have this specialisation reflected in the title of their degree. Students do not need to commit to this pathway until they have completed Business Management at Year 1. By this time, students have a good foundation in the study of Business Management, and are able to make an informed choice.

The pathway develops a student’s understanding of the key aspects of human resources practice including planning, recruitment, employee development and reward. It also creates an awareness of the contemporary and future challenges facing organisations in managing people.

Work placement
Students have the opportunity to spend a year on a paid work placement in a business organisation.
