National Student Survey 2013 results revealed 100 per cent overall satisfaction in Law, History and Archaeology, as rated by degree students at the University of Winchester, which ranks these subjects as highest nationally.
Furthermore, overall satisfaction ratings by University of Winchester degree students for Initial Teacher Education; Education Studies; Childhood, Youth and Community Studies; Journalism; Creative Writing; Event Management; American Studies; and Dance, rank these programmes amongst the top 15 universities in England.
Sports, Politics, Social Work, Business Management, Accounting and Finance, English and Theology and Religious Studies are ranked in the top 30 universities in England for overall satisfaction by degree students from the University.
Overall satisfaction with the Student Union is ranked first in the South East and in the top ten universities in England.

The Times and The Sunday Times University Guide 2014
Identified as making the second biggest leap up the league table, the University of Winchester rose 18 places from last year’s ranking. Winchester is ranked as the 10th best university in the South East and equal seventh for the award of best modern university.
Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2013
The University of Winchester has risen six places since last year in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Student Experience Survey, going from 28th to 22nd place. Winchester scored highly in a number of areas including a good environment on campus/around university; helpful, interested staff; good personal relationship with teaching staff; and good library and good opening hours.
The Complete University Guide 2013
The University of Winchester was ranked first for safety out of 17 universities within the South East. Additionally, Winchester was ranked as having the third lowest incidence of student-relevant crime in England and Wales, coming just behind Aberystwyth University (first) and Durham University (second).
Student Academic Experience Survey 2013
The University of Winchester has received a rating of 100 per cent for the proportion of small group teaching led by an academic in the 2013 Student Academic Experience Survey. The Survey is jointly produced by Which? and the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI).

The University of Winchester has risen 21 places from last year’s ranking. Winchester is now in 66th place in the Guide’s University League Table.
