The tuition fees that are charged to these two categories are significantly different and it is important that you know which category you fall into.
Fee status
To be eligible for Home (UK/EU) fees you must normally be a national of an EU country and have been ordinarily resident within the European Economic Area (EEA) during the three years immediately preceding the start of your programme (but not for educational purposes). Alternatively, you must have permanent residency rights in the UK and have been ordinarily resident in the:
- UK
- Channel Islands
- Isle of Man
during the same period. In both instances, absences in connection with temporary employment are permitted.
Students whose residence in the:
- EEA or the UK
- Channel Islands
- Isle of Man
has been primarily for full-time educational purposes are ineligible to pay fees at the UK/EU rate.
